Shepherd Hut Warranty

Stamford Shepherd Huts Ltd has been refining the materials used in construction, both internally and externally in order to try and achieve zero maintenance product:

• The principal material in the chassis and subframe is painted steel.
• We avoid the use of sheep’s wool due to moth infestation.
• Our balconies are galvanised with composite decking.
• The hinges are made of solid brass so they won’t rust.
• Our preferred timber for the doors and window is teak wood or Acoya wood- doors and windows are available in composite.
• The underside of the shepherd huts are completely sealed against the elements with painted steel metal.

The Warranty

Structural Warranty & Coverage

• 30-Year Warranty: Protects against structural defects affecting the chassis, iron wheels, roof, steel frame, floor, and steel underbelly integrity.

• Pest Protection: We guarantee that no vermin or insects will penetrate through the floor.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Plumbing: All plumbing and sanitary ware will be tested prior to delivery.

• Electrical: All electrical components will be tested by a qualified electrician prior to delivery.

Exclusion to the warranty

Poor commissioning, stationed on none level surface, poor storage, poor or no maintenance, modifications or repair, damage due to the abuse, adverse weather, exposure to corrosive materials, wear and tear, damage by third parties or caused as a result of flooding or escape of water. Scratched surfaces and floors as well as window and door alterations are not covered by our warranty.

Items not covered under the warranty

Anything other than the above is not covered by our warranty.

Delivery of goods

When Stamford Shepherd Huts agree to deliver your hut, we guarantee to deliver it in good order and to suitable place that has good road access for a 30′ rigid HGV lorry. There must be no overhead electricity or cables within 10m of the lift radius. No part of the lorry will be expected to drive on to soft ground. Once delivered, it will be the responsibility of the customer to move the hut to its final destination. Any damage caused post-delivery will be the responsibility of the customer.

Stamford Shepherd Huts will not install the hut or make any service connections without prior written agreement. We are happy to offer advice.
