As one of the most prestigious equestrian events in the world, Defender Burghley provides us with a unique platform to showcase our luxurious, handcrafted shepherd huts, right on our doorstep in our home town of Stamford. We can’t wait to connect with you all again at this iconic event- only one week to go!

Where To Find Us

You’ll find Stamford Shepherd Huts nestled in the heart of show in section C54, in front of Stevenson Brothers Rocking Horses near the dressage arena. Our stand is always a hub of activity and interest, and you won’t want to miss the chance to see one of our huts (and balcony) up close.

About The Defender Burghley Horse Trials

“The world’s greatest 5* equestrian event”

Defender Burghley attracts fantastic crowds to witness exhilarating equestrian action alongside browsing the world renowned shopping avenues in this truly stunning location. The three day eventing is a comprehensive test of the all round ability of the horse and rider, comprising Dressage, Cross Country and Jumping. With over 173,000 visitors over the four days, more than 600 carefully selected exhibitors, an average of 80 of the world’s top competitors and a prize fund of over £300,000, 21st century Burghley Horse Trials is a far cry from the inaugural event, which took place over 60 years ago with just 19 competitors and in front of a mere 12,000 people.

Our team is passionate about creating beautiful, bespoke shepherd huts that are perfect for glamping, garden rooms, or unique guest accommodations. During Burghley, you’ll have the opportunity to meet the faces behind Stamford Shepherd Huts from Edward and Khurem from the workshop, to our glamping license specialists Matt and Phil. We’re always eager to chat about our process, the materials we use, and how we can supply huts to suit you. Our team will be on hand to answer any questions and provide you with all the information you need to envision your own shepherd hut dream.

Our Huts

One of the highlights of visiting our stand at Burghley is the chance to step inside one of our beautiful Burghley huts. Pictures simply don’t do justice to the craftsmanship and cosy atmosphere that our huts offer. When you walk inside, you’ll experience firsthand the warmth of the wood, the quality of the finishes, and the thoughtful design that makes our huts stand out in the world of luxury glamping. Our display hut will be fully furnished, giving you a true sense of what it would be like to spend time in one of these charming retreats.

Glamping Licenses

We will also joined by members of the Wanderlust Camping Club team who will be on hand to answer any questions on planning permission and glamping licenses. Check out their website beforehand for more information.
